Expansion joints that take up movement

Pipes grow with temperature and pumps vibrate. Expansion joints absorb that movement before it reaches welds, flanges and equipment nozzles.

What we supply

Expansion joints we supply

Rubber and metallic bellows joints for thermal movement and pump vibration. Every line is quoted with its standard, material and lead time.

01

Single-sphere rubber joints

Compact joints that absorb vibration and noise at pump suction and discharge.

EPDM · NBRPN10 / PN16Flanged
02

Twin-sphere rubber joints

Two arches for greater axial and lateral movement in longer runs.

EPDM · NBRPN16Flanged / threaded
03

Metallic bellows

Stainless steel bellows for steam, hot process and higher pressure and temperature service.

SS 321 / 304Up to PN25Weld / flanged ends
04

Tie rods & accessories

Control rods limit movement and carry pressure thrust where the piping cannot.

FAQ

Expansion joints questions

Rubber or metallic expansion joint?

Rubber joints are excellent for vibration and noise on water, cooling and utility lines at moderate temperatures. Metallic bellows handle the temperature and pressure of steam and hot process service.

Which elastomer should I choose?

EPDM suits water, cooling water and many mild chemicals. NBR suits oils and fuels. Tell us the media and temperature and we will confirm.

Do I need tie rods?

If the piping cannot hold the pressure thrust created by the joint, tie rods or limit rods are needed. This is common near pumps and on unanchored lines.

What information do you need for a quote?

Line size, pressure, temperature, media, end connection and the movement to absorb (axial, lateral, angular).
